Realistic CGI
Computer generated imagery has come a long way, although movies like Avatar have broken boundaries, it is still fascinating how CGI can get close to the natural world by creating replacements for the real actors.

Driving and Eating
Every Sunday I think of a million things to say about my drive to and from church. Then I mostly keep it to myself. If I go the long way, I go by lakes. If I take the shortcut, it’s through more woods, less town. The shortcut is winding and hilly and not maintained as well as the main road. Today it had tire paths that were clear and the rest of the road was icy. I came home that way anyway. There were a couple of places where people had slid off the road ;-o
Wanting to be useful…
The ladies at church want to teach me crochet so I can help with service projects. I joined a crochet group and today I watched a video on making a granny square. It brought back all the reasons I have never been successful at knitting and crocheting. It’s soooooo confusing! I think some folks are born with the right brains for this, but it just makes mine hurt

The Haunted Household
The Difference Between Jelly and Jam
The difference between jelly and jam is that jelly is made strictly from the juice of fruit while jam is made from crushed fruit. Specifically, jelly is made by crushing fruit, then straining out everything but the juice. The juice is then boiled, typically with sugar and pectin added, the latter of which reacts with the sugar and heat to give the jelly a thicker consistency for spreading.
Double Meaning Photos
“A double entendre is a figure of speech in which a spoken phrase is devised to be understood in either of two ways. Often the first meaning is straightforward, while the second meaning is less so: often risqué, inappropriate, or ironic. The Oxford English Dictionary defines a double entendre as especially being used to “convey an indelicate meaning”. It is often used to express potentially offensive opinions without the risks of explicitly doing so. A double entendre may exploit puns to convey the second meaning. Double entendres tend to rely more on multiple meanings of words, or different interpretations of the same primary meaning; they often exploit ambiguity and may be used to introduce it deliberately in a text.”
All of these photos have double meanings.
